Foliated GATE

A portal through a 30-foot cedar façade surrounding courtyard and living spaces, this gate reflects a nearby grove of paper birch trees. It is constructed from pierced sheet and overlaid with hot forged, reed-like shapes, some over 6 feet long. Cast glass inserts are added randomly to the cutout pattern for yet another prismatic dimension.

Foliated SCONCE

Designed for exterior and interior application, these sconces repeat the foliage motif developed for the clients’ front gate. 7/8” cast glass brings an exceptional luminous quality. Because they are placed high, there was space for me to create 14 large-sized nickel plated sconces. Exterior sconces are galvanized and patina steel attached to the cedar facade.
