MIGRATION

Ghost Ship Sculptures / Screens

Sound Transit Park and Ride, Mercer Island, WA 2008

Inspired by the flight of birds and the patterns they create while gathered in flocks in flight. Migration echo’s the language of movement as people and animals are in transit, depicting forms as they create density moving in closely to gather and as they separate from key points of place. The Ghost Ship sculptures reminiscent of the ships or boats that once were the only way to access the island are part of the migration of the history of Mercer Island.
